dxproctuner - Lists processes and their characteristics

Process Tuner accepts all of the standard X Toolkit command line options, which are documented in the OPTIONS section in the X(1X) reference page.
The following list documents selected X Toolkit options.
Specifies the color to use for the window background.
Specifies the display screen on which
dxproctuner
displays its window. If the display option is not specified,
dxproctuner
uses the display screen specified by your
DISPLAY
environment variable. The display
option has the format
hostname:number. The default is :0. For more information, see the
X(1X)
reference page.
Performs the same function as the
-d
option.
Specifies the color to use for the window foreground.
The Process Tuner application, dxproctuner, is used to monitor and manage processes.
Use Process Tuner to do the following: Display a list of processes and their characteristics Display and modify process priority Send a signal to a process
To start
dxproctuner
from the graphical user interface:
Click on the Application Manager icon on the CDE front panel.
Double click on the System_Admin application group icon.
Double click on the Monitoring Tuning application group icon.
Double click on the Process Tuner application icon.
For additional information about the graphical user interface, see the online help volume. To open the online help volume from within Process Tuner, run the application and choose Overview from the Help menu in the main window.
You can click on the topics in the outline area to move through the online help. You can also click on hyperlinks, which are displayed using underlined text. In each dialog box within the application, you can click on the Help button to get reference information on that dialog box.
You can get help for a specified component in the application. To do
so, choose On Item from the Help menu in the application. The cursor changes
to a question mark. When you click with the question mark, reference information
is displayed about the part of the application that you clicked on.
To start Process Tuner from the command line, enter dxproctuner.
You can view the Process Tuner online help volume without running the application. To open the Process Tuner help volume from the command line, enter the following command: /usr/dt/bin/dthelpview -helpVolume \ /usr/dt/appconfig/help/C/Dxproctuner.sdl
