NAME
tictimed - system availability daemon
SYNOPSIS
tictimed
DESCRIPTION
tictimed is part of SUNWlwact, the availability logging utility.
It is a heartbeat daemon that updates the last updated time of the availability log
file.
tictimed also checks for "lwact.update" file under the directory defined by the variable
UPDATE in the /etc/default/lwact file. This file contains the 3 levels of cause codes that will be
assigned to the last occured outage. During each run, tictimed looks for this file and if found,
it updates the last recorded outage event with the cause codes listed in the lwact.update file.
tictimed then removes the lwact.update file from that location.
This feature provides a common interface for an automated enterprise
cause code update process.
INVOCATION OPTIONS
There are no options for the deamon, it is started by the system automatically.
FILES

$LOGDIR/hostid.lwact.xml - Availability data file generated by light weight availability collection tool.
$UPDATE/lwact.update - Update file containing the cause codes to be assigned for the last outage.
